Local film enthusiasts are invited to step back into the Old West as The REES hosts its upcoming Seasoned Citizen Movie Matinee. The beautifully restored historic theatre will feature the 1964 classic A Fistful of Dollars on Wednesday, April 8th at 2:00 p.m.
Starring Clint Eastwood, the groundbreaking film introduced audiences to the iconic “Man with No Name” and played a pivotal role in defining the spaghetti Western genre. Directed by Sergio Leone, the movie remains celebrated for its gritty storytelling, memorable musical score, and stylish cinematography that reshaped Western filmmaking for generations to come.
The screening is part of The REES’ Seasoned Citizen Film Series, which provides a relaxed and welcoming afternoon movie experience specifically designed for those who appreciate classic cinema. Organizers say it is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a timeless favorite the way it was meant to be seen—on the big screen.
The event offers an affordable afternoon outing for the community. Admission is just $8, which includes the movie ticket, a box of popcorn, and a drink for those over 55.
Tickets for the April 8th matinee are available for purchase online through Eventbrite, in person at Na Rie Simple Treasures, or at the Everwise Box Office at The REES on the day of the show.
