Authorities are continuing to investigate a threatening message discovered this week at Carmi-White County High School in Carmi.
After school on Tuesday, April 7th, graffiti was found inside a restroom that mentioned a potential threat of violence against the school. The discovery was reported to the school administration and the school resource officer.
After a preliminary investigation, law enforcement confirmed there was no active credible threat and school was in session on Wednesday, April 8th. However, to enhance safety and provide peace of mind, there was an increased police presence and additional security measures implemented during school hours and at school activities.
