Rochester woman arrested for DUI with children in vehicle

A Rochester woman was arrested recently after allegedly operating a vehicle while intoxicated while children were in the vehicle.

According to court documents, an officer with the Rochester Police Department pulled over a vehicle for a headlight violation on September 15.

While speaking to the driver, Ashley Dille, 37, of Rochester, officers noticed she had slurred speech, glassy eyes and an open container behind the driver's seat. It was also noted that two children were in the vehicle as well.

When asked if she had consumed alcohol prior to driving, Dille admitted she had consumed alcohol approximately six hours before she was pulled over.

Dille agreed to a field sobriety test, but did not pass. Dille was also given a portable breath test, with results reading 0.123.

Dille was arrested at the scene and is charged with neglect of a dependent, a Level 6 Felony; and operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a class C misdemeanor.

Dille's initial hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 29, 8:30 a.m. in the Fulton County Courthouse.
