Marshall County Police investigated the report of a forcible entry at LaPaz Commons on Tuesday, July 25th.
At approximately 3:00 PM Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the LaPaz Commons on Troyer Street in LaPaz about a residential entry. Arriving on scene deputies located 20-year-old Fernando Ramirez of East Jefferson Street in Plymouth inside the residence.
Ramirez reportedly drove to the residence, forcibly entered the residence through a window, entered a locked bedroom, and engaged in a confrontation with the tenant of the residence. Fernando reportedly caused damage to the window and bedroom door.
Fernando Ramirez had an active warrant through Marshall County and had a stolen firearm. He was also found to be operating a vehicle without ever receiving a license and was in possession of alcohol by a minor.
Ramirez was transported to the Marshall County Jail, booked for residential entry, possession of stolen property, criminal trespass, criminal mischief, operating a vehicle without ever obtaining a license, illegal possession of alcohol by a minor, and his active warrant and held on a $1,500 cash bond.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
