The Plymouth Park Board took care of several items of business during their meeting this month, including approving the annual contract with the Plymouth Tennis Club and donating a Family Pool Pass to a local school fundraiser.
The 2026 agreement with the Plymouth Tennis Club runs from May 1st through September 30th and covers summer tennis lessons and league play at the Mary Beth Hunter Tennis Complex. Under the terms of the contract, the Tennis Club is required to submit financial information each year, a list of officers with their contact information, and a certificate of insurance. Once the financial information has been submitted to Park Superintendent Mike Hite, the Tennis Club will be furnished with a key to the facilities.
The agreement also outlines several responsibilities for the club. Members are required to work with the park department to ensure all trash is properly disposed of following each event. The Tennis Club is also responsible for collecting a $10 non-resident fee from each participant who lives outside the City of Plymouth's taxing district. Additionally, the club will pay a $10 fee per team tournament held at the Hunter Tennis Complex.
The contract also makes clear that no alcohol or alcoholic beverages will be permitted on the property under any circumstances.
In other business, the Park Board approved the donation of a Family Pool Pass to Jefferson Elementary School for their annual Jogging for Jefferson spring fundraiser.
