At last week’s meeting, the Plymouth Park Board approved its 2026 agreement with Plymouth Junior League Baseball and green-lit several facility requests for upcoming community events.
The Junior League Baseball agreement, which runs from April 1 through October 31, includes a notable update for out-of-town participants. Under the approved terms, a $10 non-residential fee will be applied to all players who reside outside the Plymouth city limits.
In addition to the baseball agreement, the board approved several fee waivers and facility requests for local organizations:
The Marshall County Department of Child Services (DCS) was granted free use of the Horse Barn in Centennial Park. The facility will host a Foster Parents Month celebration from noon to 2 p.m. on either May 9, 16, or 30. The event will feature food, yard games, and an opportunity for foster parents and children to connect and mingle.
The Marshall County Relay for Life received approval for the free use of the Lions’ Pavilion on Friday, June 5, to host its annual one-day yard sale. The board also noted that Relay for Life will hold its annual fundraising walk at River Park Square later in the year on September 26.
The board approved the donation of a Family Pool Pass to the Plymouth Wesleyan Church, which will be used as a giveaway during the church's upcoming Easter Egg Hunt.
