After a long winter, the Plymouth Farmers Market is back! The market kicks off its 2026 season this Saturday, May 9th, at River Park Square, opening on the Saturday of the Mother's Day holiday weekend as is tradition.

The market will run for 23 weeks, with hours from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. every Saturday through its final day on October 10th.

Market Manager Tom Keb, who has dedicated 23 years to the market, said he is extremely proud of how far it has come. What started with just six vendors years ago has grown into a thriving community staple. When the City of Plymouth designed River Park Square, planners specifically incorporated space for the farmers market, building in 40 dedicated vendor spaces to accommodate its growth.

This Saturday's opening day promises plenty of family-friendly activities and community spirit. Children are invited to plant a flower or vegetable for their moms in honor of Mother's Day. Two local non-profits will also be on hand — the Plymouth American Legion Auxiliary will be present for Poppy Awareness Month, and Boy Scout Troop 257 will be serving up a pancake and sausage breakfast while also selling homemade soaps, salves, and bottled water.

Shoppers on opening day can expect a wide variety of fresh, local goods, including asparagus and lettuce greens, flowers and garden plants, cheeses, honey, maple syrup, soaps, Amish baked goods, pork and beef, eggs, salsa and jams, popcorn, and much more.

Come out this Saturday, meet your friends and neighbors, and support the local small businesses that make the Plymouth Farmers Market a beloved community tradition.
