A 30-year-old New Hampshire man who allegedly threatened and blackmailed a young teenager from Marshall County has been arrested, charged, and found guilty of multiple felonies.
In June 2024, Lt. Detective Les McFarland with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department obtained information about a 13-year-old female who had allegedly been in contact with Austin Holton through Snapchat. The news release states that the juvenile female had been sending nudes to Holton, and allegedly, he had been threatening and blackmailing the juvenile to send more pictures to him.
Following a multi-month, multi-jurisdictional investigation, an arrest was made. As a result of the investigation, probable cause was established and an arrest warrant, in New Hampshire, was issued charging Holton with seven counts of Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Images, two counts of Criminal Solicitation for the Manufacture of Child Sexual Abuse Images, and two counts of Certain Uses of Computer Services Prohibited.
