July First Friday event slated

It will be hot as festive as visitors and Putnam County residents descend on downtown Greencastle Friday evening for the July First Friday celebration. 

The festivities kick off at 6 p.m. and will last until 10 p.m., featuring free live music, shopping, food, fun and more around the Courthouse Square and downtown Greencastle. 

Half Step Down will perform on the Moore's Bar & Grill stage, while the Marc Rogers Band will perform at Almost Home and Parker Black and Friends wil play on the Lost Hollow Co. Stage. All the bands hit the stages at 7 p.m. 

"First Friday is about bringing people together," said Kate Knaul, Executive Director of Main Street Greencastle. "Whether you're reconnecting with neighbors, discovering a new local business, enjoying live music, or simply spending time downtown with family and friends, these evenings remind us how special our community is. We hope everyone will join us as we kick off the holiday weekend together."
