A 63-year-old Goshen woman was arrested Friday, August 30th, at 5 p.m. after running into the Randolph and Baker Streets barricade for the Blueberry Festival.
Officers with the Plymouth Police Department were dispatched to Randolph Street and Baker Street for a property damage crash. When they arrived on the scene, Cynthia Johnson had marijuana in the vehicle and admitted to smoking marijuana.
Johnson was given field sobriety tests and a certified blood draw. She was then transported to Marshall County Jail and booked in for operator while intoxicated on a controlled substance, OWI endangerment, possession of marijuana, and possession of paraphernalia. Her cash bond was paid on Saturday at 12:20 a.m., and she was released on bond.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings, entitled to be represented by counsel, and entitled to a trial by jury, at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
