Preparations are continuing by Lawrence County officials for the upcoming solar eclipse event which will occur in early April. That was the message given at the second community informational meeting held Wednesday at Lawrenceville High School (LHS). 20 various agencies are providing input into an overall master plan for dealing with various aspects of the event such as traffic, lodging, vending, public safety, sanitation amongst others. The key message coming from local officials is to be prepared for a large influx of visitors. Individuals and families should plan ahead for necessities needed for that weekend. There will be another public information session planned for Wednesday. March 27th at 6 p.m. also at the LHS auditorium.
