The Miami County Sheriff’s Office has released information regarding the medical emergency reported Thursday morning in the 400 block of South Elm Street in Bunker Hill.
According to officials, Miami County 911 Central Dispatch received a call just after 6:30 a.m. involving an unresponsive child. EMS, law enforcement, and first responders were dispatched immediately and arrived within minutes. Tragically, despite lifesaving efforts, responders were unable to revive the child.
The Miami County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division and the Miami County Coroner’s Office are currently conducting a death investigation in accordance with standard policy. Due to the active investigation, no additional information is being released at this time.
Agencies assisting at the scene included the Bunker Hill Town Marshal’s Office, Miami County Coroner, Pipe Creek Fire, Parkview EMS and Indiana State Police.
