Congressman Rudy Yakym is making several stops in the Second Congressional District with a “Back the Blue” Law Enforcement Tour.
Yakym had breakfast in Plymouth Tuesday with several Fulton, Kosciusko, and Marshall county law enforcement officials.
The congressman tied the area concerns with fentanyl to supplies coming in across the southern border.
Yakym says he knows that being a law enforcement officer is harder now than ever. He wants to make sure that the federal laws are working properly and supporting local efforts.
Congressman Yakym also toured the Indiana State Police Post at Peru and the Wabash City Police headquarters. The tour continued Wednesday with a 'Fighting Fentanyl Roundtable' with Starke and Pulaski law enforcement officials.
