The 2026 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship (LECS) application will be open August 1 – September 3, 2025 through the Putnam County Community Foundation (PCCF).
This scholarship opportunity provides one scholarship for full tuition, required fees, and a special allocation of up to $900 per year for required books and equipment for four years of undergraduate study on a full-time basis. This scholarship is applicable to baccalaureate degree programs at any Indiana public or private college or university accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges.
Changes to the 2026 Putnam County LECS program include extended eligibility guidelines and new application requirements.
This scholarship opportunity is now available for all Putnam County residents who graduate from an accredited Indiana high school by June 30, 2026, pursuing a full-time baccalaureate course of study at an eligible college or university in Indiana.
Also new this year, qualified Putnam County applicants will be required to complete a live, proctored writing prompt as part of the application process.
