A carbon monoxide detector prompted a run by the Shelbyville Fire Department on Sunday.
Shelbyville Fire Department crews responded to The Mill apartments at 318 N. Tompkins St. Upon arrival, firefighters found that exhaust from a gas-powered carpet cleaning van parked near an exit door was pushing fumes directly into the building.
