The Bridgeport City Council has two new members.
Tuesday evening, Richard Fiscus and John Perrott were sworn in as new aldermen after the April Consolidated election. Fiscus replaces T.J. McClelland in Ward 3 and Perrott replaces Robin Wirth in Ward 1. Also sworn in were incumbent Mayor Tyler Griffin and new City Treasurer Kylie Armstrong.
During business, the council did approve the annual appropriation ordinance for 25-26. Mayor Griffin reported that the residential meter replacement project has been slowed by a lack of available parts. It is hoped that workers can resume work and be completed in two months. Members were informed that the city water well #3 is back up and running after repairs.
The city is seeking public input to it's parks committee regarding improvements and upgrades at two locations-the W.B. Gray Building and the Lanterman Park pavilion.
After entering into executive session to discuss personnel, the council emerged and approved the hiring of Hunter Shick and Alex McDaniel as summer help employees.
