Friday marks not only a new month, but the return of the ever popular Greencastle First Friday event downtown with music, shopping, food and spirit.
The festivities will take place from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. in downtown Greencastle and this month’s event is sponsored by First National Bank, with additional support from Putnam County Hospital and The Stewart Home Group. The season sponsor for First Friday is Ivy Tech Community College.
The musical lineup for Friday is as follows
Lemon Brothers – Courthouse steps (sponsored by Almost Home)
Hometown Haven – Indiana Street stage (sponsored by Moore’s Bar & Grill)
CPR Revival – Corner of Franklin and Vine Streets (sponsored by Lost Hollow Beer Co.)
Attendees are encouraged to explore local vendors, enjoy a variety of offerings from food trucks and downtown restaurants, and take in the unique charm of the square—long considered the heart of both Greencastle and Putnam County.
“First Friday brings neighbors, visitors, and families together in a setting that celebrates the story of Greencastle’s past and present,” said Kate Knaul, Executive Director of Main Street Greencastle. “Whether you’re here for the music, the food, or the history, you’ll find something special downtown.”
Main Street Greencastle’s work is made stronger through valued partnerships with the City of Greencastle, DePauw University’s Growing Green & Gold Together Initiative, and Ruoff Mortgage, according to Knaul.
