The National Weather Service (NWS) says another Flood Warning will be in effect for the Embarras River at Lawrenceville from Thursday until Saturday morning.
The issuance is based on previously received precipitation in the upper river basin flowing downstream, local soil moisture saturation conditions, and a forecast of additional rain in the future for the region.
The river at Lawrenceville Thursday morning was at 29.8 feet and slowly rising. It is now expected to rise above its 30-foot flood stage late Thursday and reach a crest of 30.2 feet early Friday morning before beginning a slow, steady fall. It is anticipated to fall below flood early Saturday.
Some minor flooding is expected along the river east of Lawrenceville.
