The Illinois State Police (ISP) Zone 8 continued their Alcohol Countermeasure Enforcement (ACE) patrols in neighboring Richland County in late April.
The surveillance details are designed to determine or not if any businesses are selling alcoholic beverages to minors under the age of 21.
There were 22 total locations visited during the action and 7 sold alcohol to underaged subjects. The establishments were located in the city of Olney and also in rural Richland County.
Employees at the offending businesses were cited for Unlawful Delivery of Alcoholic Liquor to a Minor, a Class A Illinois misdemeanor.
The ISP says that the details will continue in the future.
