The 15th annual Operation Quiet Comfort "Celebrate & Support Our Troops" fundraiser is this Thursday, April 16. The event promises a fun-filled evening dedicated to a great cause, with 100 percent of the proceeds going directly to support the troops.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about Operation Quiet Comfort's past, present, and future initiatives while enjoying a delicious pulled pork dinner. The pork for the meal is being generously provided by Mission BBQ.
What makes this fundraiser truly unique is that absolutely everything for the event has been donated—from the food and desserts to the silverware, cups, and placemats. Because all overhead costs have been covered by generous donors, every single dollar from ticket sales and auction purchases goes straight to supporting the troops.
Tickets for the event are $50 per person. Attendees also have the option to reserve a table of eight for $400, but table reservations must be made by Tuesday, April 14.
Tickets are available at: the GIANT fm WTCA studios, Plymouth Chamber of Commerce, and ASK for Flowers in Plymouth, or H&R Block in Bremen.
Operation Quiet Comfort is actively seeking a local youth organization to assist during the dinner. Volunteers are needed to help serve drinks and clear tables throughout the evening.
If your youth group or organization is available to assist with this patriotic cause, please contact Ken or Jan Houin at 574-923-1424.
