Lawrenceville High School (LHS) will have a familiar name to head the Indian boys basketball program for the future.
The Lawrence County Unit #20 Board of Education met in a special session Monday evening at LHS and move to promote Noah Volkman to head coach. He replaces Tad Shick, who stepped down last month.
Volkman is a former Indian player who has coached the junior varsity for the last few years under Shick and prior to that coached the freshman/sophomore team under Randy Bishop. He begins his new duties immediately.
