Eli Sego scored 24 points – all in the second half – to lead Triton Central to its first ever Hoosier Legends Conference victory Friday at Tri-West, 65-51.
Sego scored 11 points in the third quarter as the Tigers seized a 43-38 lead. Sego sank 9 of 11 free throws in the final quarter to get to his game-high 24 and push his career scoring total to 1,213 points – third best all-time at Triton Central.
Brody Hartman hit a trio of 3s on the way to 13 points. Jackson Faust finished with 12 and Henry Kemper reached double digits as well with 10 points.
Eight different Bruins (1-2, 1-1 HLC) scored in the loss, but Ryan Miller was the only one to reach double digits with 14 points. Parker Gibson finished with eight.
Triton Central improved to 4-1 with the win. The Tigers are at Christel House (2-2) next Friday and at North Decatur (0-3) the following Saturday.
