Members of the Triton Central boys tennis team have been named the Beth Prince State Farm Athletes of the Week.
Triton Central claimed the Shelby County Boys Tennis Tournament championship Saturday in Fairland, defeating Waldron (4-1) and Southwestern (5-0).
Triton Central's singles players -- Tucker Hutchinson, Janssen Capps and Drayton Kermode -- each finished 2-0 in the tournament. The No. 1 doubles pairing of Brayden Hoover and Caleb McGuire also finished 2-0.
At No. 1 doubles, Connor Evans and Max Crouse lost in the semifinal to their Waldron opponents but bounced back for a straight-set win in the championship match.
The Tigers improved to 11-1 with the two wins.
