Shelbyville's Crafton and Rogers selected to All-HHC Softball squad

A total of 20 athletes have been named to the Hoosier Heritage Conference’s All-Conference Softball Team.

Shelbyville junior Gracie Crafton and sophomore Alexis Rogers were bestowed that honor.

Crafton hit .375 with 12 doubles and 22 runs batted in for the Golden Bears.

Rogers led Shelbyville in batting average (.505), hits (48), home runs (7), runs (32) and runs batted in (31).

Also selected All-HHC were Delta’s Chloe Mynett, Greenfield-Central’s Kristen Wineinger, Savvanna Riall and Charlotte Riehle, Mt. Vernon’s Amelia Anderson and Emma Jenkins, New Castle’s Baylie Chester, New Palestine’s Sadey Hughbanks, Saydie Miller and Payton Dye, Pendleton Heights’ Aubrey Fox, Macy Hufford, Cassie Hayes and Avry Miller, and Yorktown’s Olivia Jones, Brooklyn Bartle, Olivia Jaromin and Anna Rinker.

Yorktown head coach Jeremy Penrod was named HHC Coach of the Year.

Yorktown (25-3) won the HHC championship with a 7-0 mark.

New Palestine (22-7), Mt. Vernon (11-11) and Pendleton Heights (17-13) each finished 5-2, ahead of Greenfield-Central (12-11, 3-4), Shelbyville (10-17, 2-5), Delta (10-14, 1-6) and New Castle (4-15, 0-7).
