Shelbyville golf posted three personal-best rounds Thursday but it was not enough to overcome Mt. Vernon in a dual match at Arrowhead Golf Course in Greenfield.
Emmie Higgins led the Golden Bears with a 9-hole score of 47.
The trio of Riley Everette (48), Kylie Stader (58) and Maddy Jones (65) each scored personal bests.
Mt. Vernon won the match, 211-218.
Gigi Avers was the medalist with a round of 42. Guinevere Williams followed with a 48. Ava Mastoianni (59) and Katherine Wheeler (62) completed the Marauders’ scorecard.
The Golden Bears are scheduled to host New Castle today at Blue Bear Golf Club in Shelbyville.
