Several from Lawrence County qualify for IESA Track State Finals

Lawrence County will be well represented at the Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) State Track and Field Finals Friday, May 22nd and Saturday, May 23rd in East Peoria. The local athletes from both Parkview and Red Hill Junior High qualified in competition Saturday, May 16th at the Class 3A Newton Sectional Meet. Here are those heading to state.

Savannah Fleming (1st in 8th grade long jump)-Red Hill Junior High School

Norah Shick (1st in 7th grade 100m hurdles, 1st in 7th grade high jump)-Red Hill Junior High School

Neko Bickers (2nd in 8th grade high jump)-Parkview Junior High School

Taygan Rotman, Bickers, Sienna Ivers and Tanna Alexander (2nd in 8th grade 4x200 meter relay)-Parkview Junior High School

James Perrin (1st in 8th grade 100 meters)-Red Hill Junior High School

Samuel Inman (2nd in 7th grade 110 meter hurdles)-Parkview Junior High School

Derek Rodriguez (1st in 8th grade 100 meters)-Parkview Junior High School

Jax Eads (1st in the 7th grade long jump)-Parkview Junior High School

Paxton Gher, Julian Petties, Cain Monroy and Eads (2nd in the 8th grade Sprint-Medley-Relay 1600 meters)-Parkview Junior High School
