A former Lawrenceville Indian basketball great is returning to southeastern Illinois to continue his career.
Landon Sanders has announced via Instagram that he is transferring to Olney Central College (OCC) to play for the Blue Knights in the future.
The 6 foot 4 inch shooting guard spent one year with the College of Lake County (CLC) Lancers of the Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference in suburban Chicago after graduation from Lawrenceville High School (LHS) in 2024. He averaged just over 2 points-per-game in 19 games played and had a high of 14 points for CLC.
Sanders was an All-Little Illini Conference sharpshooter during his career at LHS averaging about 12 points per game.
