High school track and field season is underway in Lawrence County.
The Red Hill Saluki boys won a four team opening meet Monday at Red Hill Jr/Sr High School in Bridgeport.
They edged Oblong-Palestine-Hutsonville (OPH) 54.33 to 54 points with the Lawrenceville Indians 3rd with 46.33 and Cisne 4th with 38 points.
Leading the way for the hosts was double winner Clayton Roney who tied for first in the 100 meters and won the long jump.
The girls meet was won by Cisne with 61 points, the host Lady Salukis finished 2nd with 56, Lawrenceville Lady Indians 3rd with 47 and OPH was 4th with 42.
Red Hill's Caitlee Gray was a triple winner in the 200 meters, high jump and triple jump while Izabelle Eagleson of the Lady Salukis won the 100 and 300 meter hurdles.
