
Waldron will compete for a tennis regional championship today at Center Grove High School.
The Mohawks defeated Roncalli Wednesday, 4-1, in the regional semifinal to earn a spot in the championship.
Waldron (14-3) swept the doubles matches and secured wins at No. 1 and No. 3 singles to eliminate the Royals.
At No. 1 singles, Charlie Fischer defeated Brian Moreno, 6-1, 6-3.
Lincoln Fischer was victorious at No. 3 singles, 6-0, 6-0.
At No. 1 doubles, Jackson Kuhn and Caige Sheaffer bested Hayden Bauman and Charlie Baker, 6-0, 6-4.
And Owen Hartman and Noah Mitchell produced a 6-1, 6-4 win over Andrew Woodruff and Quentin Gibson.
Roncalli's only win came at No. 2 singles where Brody Daeger defeated Cash Young, 6-3, 6-2.
In the other semifinal Wednesday, No. 10 Center Grove blanked Connersville, 5-0.

Whiteland Sectional
Whiteland 2, Shelbyville 0
Elijah Wright scored a goal midway through the first half and the Golden Bears never recovered in the sectional semifinal round match.
Whiteland (9-9) added a goal off a corner kick in the second half to complete the scoring.
Shelbyville finished the season at 6-11.
In the other semifinal match Wednesday, Center Grove defeated Columbus North, 2-1.
Triton Central Sectional
Greensburg 6, Triton Central 3
After a high-scoring first half that saw Greensburg build a 4-3 lead, the Pirates scored the only two goals of the second half to secure the sectional semifinal victory.
Triton Central's season ended at 4-12-1.
Greensburg improved to 11-5-1 and will face New Castle (5-12-1), a 4-3 overtime winner Wednesday over Centerville, Saturday afternoon at Mendenhall Field.
Indianapolis Lutheran Sectional
Indianapolis Lutheran 6, Morristown 0
The host Saints scored four goals in the first half and preserved the shutout in the second half to advance to Saturday's sectional championship match.
The Yellow Jackets finished the season with a 5-9-2 record.
Lutheran improved to 7-9-1 and will face Christel House, who upset No. 3 Greenwood Christian Academy Wednesday in penalty kicks (4-2), in the championship.

Monrovia Sectional
No. 12 Monrovia cruised to a 13-0 victory Wednesday over Indianapolis Washington in a sectional quarterfinal match.
Hauser followed suit with a 7-0 win over Providence Cristo Rey to set up Thursday's semifinal round.
In the opener today, Triton Central (10-4-2) will face Brown County (5-4-2). Monrovia will follow against Hauser (4-11-1).
The sectional championship is set for 7 p.m. Saturday.
