
Hayden May gave Class 2A, No. 11 Triton Central another quality start on the mound and another Indiana Crossroads Conference win.
May scattered five hits and two walks over four innings Wednesday in Triton Central’s 12-2 win over Indianapolis Scecina in Fairland. Janssen Capps pitched the final inning to improve the Tigers to 7-2 (6-0 ICC).
Eli Sego, Hayden Beaver and May each had two hits and combined to score seven runs.
Keaten Nolton Drake had two hits for the Crusaders (3-7, 2-4 ICC).
Triton Central is at Indian Creek (6-3) today.

Pendleton Heights 6, Shelbyville 4
At Barnett Field in Shelbyville, the unbeaten Arabians scored three runs in each of the first two innings and held off a late rally by the Golden Bears (4-5, 1-5 Hoosier Heritage Conference).
Dalton Jones got the start on the mound and took the loss. Gavin Reed gave a strong performance, allowing four hits and no runs over the final 5.1 innings.
Wes Bailey, Reece Prickett and Gavyn Fisher each had two hits. Fisher had a solo home run.
Jacob Garner collected the win for Pendleton Heights (9-0, 6-0 HHC). He allowed seven hits, two walks and three runs over six innings.
Shelbyville hosts Whiteland (5-5) Friday.
Girls tennis
Waldron 4, Oldenburg Academy 1
Waldron swept the singles matches and got a three-set win at No. 1 doubles to finish off the Twisters.
At No. 1 doubles, Riley Price and Jackie Corlett lost the second set to Ashley Hunter and Hailee Hoffman but recovered to win the third set and the match, 6-3, 6-7 (6), 10-3.
Waldron (4-1) got straight-set singles victories from Emerson Lindsey, Riley Thurston and Ava Leising.
Oldenburg Academy’s lone win came at No. 2 doubles where Addyson Lambert and Mary Kara Wanstrath defeated Malia Murphy and Lilly Mann, 3-6, 7-5, 6-4.
Shelbyville 3, Seymour 2
Corinne Aldridge needed three sets to secure a win at No. 3 singles and get the Golden Bears the victory.
Aldridge defeated Macy Pifer, 1-6, 6-2, 6-3.
At No. 1 singles, Ava Muckerheide defeated Seymour’s Gabby Cornn, 6-4, 6-3.
Sophia Asher cruised to a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 2 singles over Claire Combs.
Seymour won both doubles matches in straight sets.
