Triton Central baseball captured its final Indiana Crossroads Conference championship Thursday with a doubleheader sweep of Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter.
The Tigers (17-5, 13-1 ICC) used offensive firepower to win game one, 18-0, then survived a 10-inning affair to win game two, 2-0.
In the opener, Nick Riggins had three hits, including a home run, and drove in a team-leading four runs. Bryce Haney had three hits and three RBI.
Triton Central’s 17 hits allowed Haney to cruise on the mound. The left-hander allowed just one hit and two walks while striking out 10 to improve to 7-0 this season.
In game two, Kaleb Murphy pitched six scoreless innings and struck out 12 before turning the pitching duties over to Blaine Raider, who did not allow a hit or walk over the final four innings and struck out seven to earn the win.
Eli Sego and Brayden Hoover each had two hits while Riggins and Bo West drove in TC’s only runs.
Triton Central will join the Hoosier Legends Conference in the fall along with current ICC members Beech Grove, Monrovia and Speedway. That quartet will be joined by Indian Creek and Tri West this fall and Greenwood and Shelbyville in the fall of 2026.
