Connersville outscored Shelbyville 29-15 in the second half Saturday to defeat the Golden Bears, 53-39.
The game was tied 24-all at halftime before the Spartans used a 15-6 third quarter scoring advantage to take the lead.
Connersville (3-1) had five players score between seven and 14 points in the win. Kendyl Bottomley led the way with a game-high 14 points. Serenity Pennington also reached double digits with 11 points.
Hannah Baker, Jayla Ash and Melia Cartwright each scored nine points for Shelbyville (1-1).
Connersville won the junior varsity game, 43-17. Teegan Selby led the Spartans (3-1) with 12 points and seven rebounds.
Shelbyville is at Speedway (2-1) Tuesday.

At Oldenburg Academy, the Class A, No. 8 Twisters raced out to a 22-2 lead after one quarter and cruised to a 30-point victory.
The Twisters improved to 2-1.
Claire Utley led Southwestern with seven points, two rebounds and two assists. Bryla Dunbar finished with six points and seven rebounds.
Southwestern (0-4) is at Shelbyville (1-1) Friday.
