
Shelbyville tennis improved to 12-5 this season with a dominant 5-0 win Wednesday at Beech Grove. The Golden Bears won all five matches in straight sets and lost a total of six games to the Hornets.
At No. 1 singles, Reece Prickett defeated Christian Lozano, 6-0, 6-1.
Kashton Laycock did not lose a game in a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 2 singles over Ryker Letourneau.
Bram Kolkmeier bested Colton Thacker at No. 3 singles, 6-1, 6-0.
At No. 1 doubles, Aiden Smith and Wyatt Armstrong cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 win over Adam Yeary and Ethan Corbet.
Aiden Alton and Jack Van Wye bested Ismael Carreto and Jake Ryan at No. 2 doubles, 6-3, 6-0.

At Speedway, eight different Tigers scored a goal while the defense secured its seventh shutout of the season.
Goal scorers for Triton Central (6-2-2, 2-1 Hoosier Legends Conference) were Sydney Reardon, Ava Bedwell, Brynne Aukerman, Dannahi Lopez, Maddie Burnett, Ariel Walker, Alina Kahler and Rylee Pruitt. Layla McKee and Pruitt each were credited with two assists.
Triton Central led 3-0 at halftime against the Sparkplugs (0-11-1, 0-5 HLC) then scored five goals in the second half.
The Tigers host Indianapolis Scecina (3-4-1) Monday.

Bradyn Robinson added to the singles matches sweep with a 7-5, 6-2 win over Coen Whitson.
At No. 1 doubles, Max Crouse and Caleb McGuire collected a 6-0, 6-3 win over Aiden Walton and Beau Syers.
Drayton Kermode and Graham Gast defeated Thomas Satterfield and Leo Harrison at No. 2 doubles, 6-2, 6-2.

At Triton Central, Gwyn Williams finished with nine kills to improve the Tigers to 11-5 (2-1 HLC).
Savannah Plew had three service aces. Alaina Darlage finished with 12 digs. Audrey Darlage collected 14 assists.
The Sparkplugs dropped to 2-12 (0-3 HLC).
Triton Central won the junior varsity match, 25-10, 25-6.
Maecy Cord led the Tigers with eight kills. Anna Kemper racked up 16 assists.
