
Aiden Smith and Gavyn Fisher each drove in a pair of runs to get Shelbyville its 11th win of the season Friday at Barnett Field.
The Golden Bears improved to 11-7 with a 6-2 win over Hamilton Heights.
Gavin Reed earned the win, allowing four hits and two walks with four strikeouts over six innings, Reece Prickett pitched a scoreless seventh inning.
Shelbyville is at Class A, No. 7 Hauser (11-3) today.

North Decatur 19, Waldron 2
At Waldron Friday, the Chargers led 8-2 going to the seventh inning then scored 11 runs in the seventh to finish off the Mohawks and split the Mid-Hoosier Conference two-game series.
Waldron finished with four hits – Jackson Kuhn had two hits including a double. The Mohawks committed eight errors.
Waldron is at Cambridge City Lincoln (8-7) today.
Boys golf
Batesville Invitational
At Hillcrest Golf and Country Club, Shelbyville (332) finished third behind Batesville (323) and Corydon Central (324).
Jake Garrison and Brock Wischmeyer each shot 82 to lead the Golden Bears. Logan Tobian and Logan Reinhart followed on the scorecard with 84s. Ethan Hughes shot 89.
Softball
North Decatur 27, Waldron 9
North Decatur scored eight runs in the first inning Friday and never trailed the Mohawks to complete the MHC sweep.
Alexis Rogers had two doubles, scored two runs and finished with four RBI. Bre Barton and Lilly Rose each had two hits.
Waldron (0-8) is at Herron (8-9) Tuesday.
Shelbyville 5, Mooresville 3
At Shelbyville Saturday, Addison Stieneker hit a solo home run in the first inning and Kali Laycock drove in two runs in the third inning to propel the Golden Bears to a win over the Pioneers (15-6).
Gracie Crafton scattered eight hits and struck out five in a complete-game performance to improve Shelbyville to 15-8.
Shelbyville is at Roncalli (19-4) Tuesday.
Girls tennis
New Palestine 3, Shelbyville 2
Shelbyville’s match wins came at No. 1 singles and No. 2 singles.
At No. 1 singles, Ava Muckerheide defeated Arabella Deisher, 6-1, 3-6, 6-2.
Sophia Asher bested Bethany Blachly at No. 2 singles, 6-4, 6-3.
New Palestine improved to 9-1.

Cougar Chase Invitational
Shelbyville's Macey Robbins won the 400 meters in a personal best time of 1:00.31.
Alyna Castanon finished fourth in the 400 (1:03.84); Jordyn Noe took third in the 300 hurdles (50.49) and sixth in the 100 hurdles (17.73); and Aerin Garcia-Santiago placed fifth in the 3,200 (12:42.23).
Shelbyville had a pair of fifth-grade finishers in the boys meet -- Christian Powell (23.14 in 200) and Shia Veach (9:53.69 in 3,200). Joaquin Delgado placed sixth in the 110 hurdles (16.57) and Jaylen Eads finished seventh in the pole vault (11-0).
Shelbyville will compete in the Hoosier Heritage Conference Championships at Mt. Vernon Tuesday (girls) and Thursday (boys).
