The Golden Bears finished third in the Shelby Relays Saturday morning at Shelbyville High School.
In the girls meet, Shelbyville won three relay races and finished runner-up in three more.
The Golden Bears won the opening event, the 200-yard medley relay, with Naomi Garringer, Anne Marie Fansler, Riley Everette and Paige Bohman stopping the clock in two minutes, 3.41 seconds.
Everette, Garringer and Bohman teamed with Meeghen Bushfield to win the 200 freestyle relay in 1:49.10.
Everette, Bushfield and Fansler combined to win the 150 breaststroke relay in 1:47.0.
Runner-up finishes came in the 400 medley relay (Garringer, Fansler, Everett and Bohman in 4:38.87), 375 freestyle relay (Ana Felipe, Bushfield, Bohman and Fansler in 4:12.90), and 150 butterfly relay (Bushfield, Felipe and Garringer in 1:46.23).
Mt. Vernon captured the Shelby Relays championship with 148 points. Pendleton Heights was second (102 points), finishing ahead of Shelbyville (84), Batesville (68) and Hagerstown (44).
In the boys meet, Shelbyville did not win a race but had three second-place finishes.
In the 200 freestyle relay, Luca Kinker, Anderson Mollenkopf, Everett Stegemiller and Brody Jeanette finished runner-up in 1:43.9.
Mollenkopf teamed with Hunter Dunham and Tanner Jones to earn second-place points in the 150 backstroke relay in 1:56.37.
In the 150 breaststroke relay, Kendryk Pike, Jeanette and Stegemiller finished second in 1:45.6.
Pendleton Heights won the Shelby Relays title with 126 points. Mt. Vernon was second (100), placing ahead of Shelbyville (88), Hagerstown (82), Batesville (72) and Columbus East (58).

Triton Central finished 2-2 at the invitational Saturday, defeating the host Raiders (55-18) and Milan (44-24) while falling to New Castle (39-27) and Zionsville (65-6).
Tigers that finished 3-1 were Braxton Zimmerman, Anthony Toon, Landon Ball, Jacob Herman and Chance Uhls.

Hoosier Legends Conference Meet
Triton Central junior Zoie Gray captured the inaugural Hoosier Legends Conference championship at 190 pounds Friday at Beech Grove High School.
Gray is currently ranked third in the state at her weight class.
Triton Central finished fourth in the final HLC standings.
The Tigers had three runners-up in Aubree Propp, Jayla Rethmeyer and Kahli Burmeister.
Lilly Siegel finished third.
