Another tough night on the gridiron for the Lawrenceville football Indians at home at Ed Loeb Field.
The Paris Tigers used a strong ground game to take the early lead and roll to a 45-11 win on Thursday, September 10th. It was the Tigers fourth straight win to begin the season at 4-0 while the Tribe remained winless at 0-4.
The visitors led 6-0 after one quarter and 20-3 at the half before dominating the second half outscoring the Indians 25-8 to earn the win. The Indians scored their points on a 34-yard field goal by Nick Moorehead in the second quarter and a 6-yard touchdown run by freshman Derek Rodriguez in the fourth quarter.
Paris also remained unbeaten in the Little Illini Conference at 2-0 while the Indians drop to 0-2 in league play. Lawrenceville will hit the road next Friday, September 18th when they travel to Casey to meet the Warriors in another LIC contest.
