The #1 ranked Class 1A softball team in Illinois, the Casey-Westfield Lady Warriors rolled into Lawrenceville Monday and shutout and no-hit the Lawrenceville Lady Indians 13-0 in 5 innings at Phil Alsman Field.
The 20-1 Lady Warriors scored 13 runs on 12 hits and made 1 error on the day while the Lady Indians were blanked on no hits and made 2 errors. Lawrenceville had only one baserunner on the day.
The Loss drops the Lady Indians to 4-7 on the season with two losses in a row. They return to action Tuesday on the road at Palestine-Hutsonville.
