The Mt Carmel baseball Golden Aces scored 5 runs in the top of the first inning and never looked back in an 11-1 5 inning win Friday over the Lawrenceville Indians at Unit 20 Ballpark.
The visitors scored 11 runs on 7 hits and made 1 error while the Tribe were held to 1 run on 5 hits and made 3 errors.
Garrett Moorehead started and took the loss for the Indians, who are now 2-1 on the young season.
Eli Vennard and Wyalan Bice each had 2 hits for the hosts.
The Indians are idle till Wednesday when they host Oblong-Palestine-Hutsonville (OPH) in varsity action at 4:30 p.m.
