The Lawrenceville Lady softball Indians snapped a modest two-game losing skid Thursday with a 12-2 win over Union Dugger (Indiana) in non-conference play at Phil Alsman Field in Lawrenceville.
They broke a 2-2 tie with 6 runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning and never looked back. Lawrenceville scored 12 runs on 11 hits and made no errors. The offense was paced by Olivia Brush with 2 hits and 3 RBI, Brina Opat with 2 hits including a homer and 2 RBI, Ella Waggoner added 2 hits and an RBI and Elaina Hoke had 1 hit and 2 RBI.
The win improves the Lady Indians to 7-15 on the season. They next see action in the Robinson Invitational Saturday.
