It was 8th grade day for the Parkview Lady Softball Braves Tuesday at Phil Alsman Field in Lawrenceville and they celebrated with a 10-0 shutout win in 5 innings over the Marshall Lady Cubs. Ava Cessna, Alix Garza and Brina Opat all had multiple hits to lead the offense. Reagan Ivers in the circle captured the pitching victory giving up no runs on 4 hits with 8 strikeouts and no walks. The hosts jumped out on top in the 1st inning and added 5 runs in the 3rd to take control. With the win, the Lady Braves wrap up the regular season at 13-5. They begin the post-season at home Wednesday when they host a first round game in the Class 2A Casey Region 14 tournament. The third seeded Lady Braves will meet six seeded Hume-Shiloh at Alsman Field at 4:30 p.m.
