It was opening day Saturday at the Tank Farm in Bridgeport for the Red Hill Junior High Baseball Salukis. They are 1-1 after splitting two games. The Salukis won their first game over Oblong 17-5 in 3 innings. The hosts scored 17 runs on only 8 hits and took advantage of 4 errors while holding the opposition to 5 runs on 3 hits and committing only 2 errors. The second game went to Olney (St Joe) 18-1 in 3 innings. The Salukis were held to 1 run on no hits and made 4 errors. The team returns to action Monday as they travel to Casey-Westfield at 4:30 p.m.
