Shelbyville junior Brody Jeanette produced a pair of fifth-place finishes Saturday at the New Palestine Sectional.
Jeanette placed fifth in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:51.77. He returned to the pool and finished fifth in the 500 freestyle in 5:03.69.
Anderson Mollenkopf placed seventh in the 50 freestyle in 24.01.
Everett Stegemiller finished sixth in the 100 butterfly in 59.42.
That Golden Bears trio was joined by Luca Kinker to finish sixth in the 200 freestyle relay in 1:37.57. That same foursome placed fifth in the 400 freestyle relay in 3:36.53.
In sectional consolation races, Kinker finished 12th (2:00.09) in the 200 freestyle and 11th (5:21.55) in the 500 freestyle; Stegemiller finished 11th (2:18.06) in the 200 individual medley; Colton Maloney (1:20.83) and Tanner Jones (1:22.15) placed 15th and 16th, respectively, in the 100 butterfly; and Mollenkopf finished 11th (1:03.47) in the 100 backstroke.
Shelbyville finished sixth in the team standings with 151 points.
