A familiar name will be back on the sideline as the new head coach of the Lawrenceville Lady Indians basketball team next season.
The Lawrence Unit #20 Board of Education Wednesday named Paul Higginbotham as the head man, replacing Jeremy Brush who stepped down after one season with a 13-17 record.
Higginbotham coached Lawrenceville Indian boys basketball for 5 years between 2002 and 2007 with 81 wins over that period. He entered administration as Lawrenceville High School principal for a period before leaving to return to his native Martinsville as principal of the high school there. He returned to Unit #20 as a classroom teacher before joining Brush's staff as an assistant in 2025.
