Cheyenne Eads had three hits and earned a win in the circle Friday to lead No. 15 Indianapolis to a doubleheader sweep of Lake Erie at the Springfield Clinic Classic in Springfield, Illinois.
The Greyhounds defeated Lake Erie, 3-2, in game one. Eads, a Shelbyville graduate, had a hit, two walks and scored a run.
Eads was the starting pitcher in game two’s 12-4 win. She pitched four innings, allowed one hit and struck out six to improve the Greyhounds to 6-0 this season.
Here is a look at other Shelby County graduates competing at the collegiate level.

Karissa Hamilton
The Shelbyville graduate had three extra-base hits and drove in four runs Thursday for Kentucky in an 11-7 win over Stanford.
The Wildcats finished 1-3 at the Stanford Invitational, losing to Cal State Fullerton (6-2), Stanford (7-1) and Oregon (9-0).
Kentucky is 6-4 this season.

Kylee Edwards
LSU finished 1-4 at the Shriners Children’s Clearwater Invitational in Clearwater, Florida.
The Tigers lost to Nebraska, 6-0, Thursday then returned later in the day to defeat Oklahoma State, 9-4. Edwards had a walk and scored a run in the win.
On Friday, Duke defeated LSU, 5-3. Edwards had a hit and scored a run. She also had a hit in LSU’s 5-1 loss to Central Florida.
LSU closed out the event with an 8-0 loss Sunday to UCLA.

Brayden Basey
The Shelbyville graduate had a run-scoring double Saturday in Christian Brothers’ 11-3 loss at Alabama Huntsville.
Christian Brothers was swept in a three-game series and is 0-7 this season.

Charlie Rife
The Shelbyville graduate went 0-for-3 at the plate with a walk Saturday in Bellarmine’s 6-3 win at Middle Tennessee.
That was Bellarmine’s only win in the season-opening 3-game series.

Dalton Jones
The Shelbyville graduate had a double and drove in two runs Friday in Olney Central College’s 15-12 loss to Southeast Arkansas College at the Flag City Classic in Millington, Tennessee.
Olney finished 2-2 in Tennessee, scoring a 9-1 win over Marshalltown Community College. Jones had a walk and scored a run.
Olney also defeated Jefferson College, 6-4.

Avram Rund
The Triton Central graduate won a No. 6 singles match for Franklin College Saturday in a 4-3 loss at Illinois Wesleyan.
Rund defeated Chase Tomecki, 6-3, 6-1.

Corbin Deck
The Shelbyville graduate had seven kills, one assist, one block and nine digs Saturday to help Franklin College Men’s Volleyball secure its first win of the season, 26-24, 25-21, 26-28, 25-17 over Rockford at the Calvin Invitational.
Deck had five kills, one block and four digs in a 26-24, 26-24, 25-14 loss at Calvin Friday. Adrian defeated the Grizzlies, 25-21, 25-23, 25-18 on Friday. Deck had three kills and four digs.
In its first match Saturday, St. Norbert topped Franklin, 25-17, 25-17, 25-19. Deck finished with seven kills, one assist and six digs.
Franklin is 1-6 this season.

Hadyn Ball
The Triton Central graduate won the bracket at 197 pounds for Wabash Saturday at the Mid-States Invitational at Alma College in Adrian, Michigan.
Ball defeated Lakeland’s Evan Saevre, 14-4, and Heidelberg’s Khelei Tillman, 16-2, to reach the semifinal round.
He advanced to the championship with a 4-3 win over Manchester’s Cameron Crisp.
Ball bested fellow Wabash wrestler Spencer Watson, 4-1, in the championship.

Bella Larrison
The Waldron graduate had nine points, 12 rebounds, one assist, two steals and three blocks Saturday on Senior Day in Anderson’s 72-61 win over Berea.
Larrison, a senior, finished with four points, 11 rebounds, one assist and one steal on Feb. 11 in the Ravens’ 76-73 win at Hanover.
Anderson is 15-9 this season.

Tenleigh Phelps
The Triton Central graduate had 19 points, six rebounds and three assists Saturday in IU South Bend’s 95-84 Senior Day win over Viterbo University (Wisc.).
On Feb. 11, the Titans lost to Olivet Nazarene University (Ill.), 86-85. Phelps, a senior, totaled 30 points, six rebounds and four assists.
The Titans are 18-7.

Emma Nelson
The Morristown graduate had eight rebounds and three blocks Saturday in Marian Ancilla’s 49-36 win over Grand Rapids Community College. The win improved the Chargers to 14-10 this season.
On Feb. 11, Lansing Community College defeated Marian Ancilla, 61-41. Nelson had seven points and six rebounds.

Olivia Faust
Marian avenged one of its two losses this season Saturday with a 66-58 win at No. 8 St. Francis (Ind.). Faust, a Triton Central graduate, had 11 points, five rebounds and two assists.
The win gave the No. 5 Knights (24-2, 14-2 Crossroads League) sole possession of first place in the conference standings.
On Feb. 11, Marian won 97-66 at Grace College. Faust finished with six points, three rebounds and two assists.

Brooklyn Bailey
The Triton Central graduate had three points, two rebounds, two assists and one block on Feb. 11 in Kaskaskia College’s 63-56 loss at John Wood Community College.
Franklin Track and Field
The Grizzlies competed Saturday at the DePauw Invitational in Greencastle, Indiana.

Triton Central graduate Brayden Wilkins helped Franklin to a fourth-place finish in the 4x200 meter relay. The time of 1:32.71 was second fastest in school history.

Shelbyville graduate Blake Hughes finished 25th in the 400 (57.81) and third in the 4x400 relay (3:30.03).

Shelbyville graduate Christian Powell placed 40th in the 60 (7.46) and 17th in the 400 (54.6).

Shelbyville graduate Logan Page finished 31st in the 60 (7.37) and 27th in the 200 (24.41).
