Cale Seitzinger commits to wrestle at Vincennes University

A top Lawrence County wrestler has announced his plans to continue his academic and athletic career at Vincennes University.

Cale Seitzinger will be heading to the school to be a part of the launch of the very first Trailblazer wrestling team which will begin competition in the 2026-27 academic year.

He was an outstanding grappler during his high school career with over 100 wins and was 37-11 this past season wrestling at 150 pounds. Seitzinger won multiple tournament titles and was an all-Little Illini Conference performer and helped lead Lawrence County to its first wresting regional title since 1998.

He is one of the initial recruits for new VU Head wrestling coach Gunnar Gardner who was hired earlier to bring the program to life.
