The Lawrenceville baseball Indians scored 6 runs in the top of the 8th inning Tuesday to snap a 2-2 tie and went on to beat the Cisne Running Lions 8-2 in extra innings on the road at Cisne.
The Indians trailed 2-1 heading into the top of the 6th and scored to tie the game at 2 before their explosion in the extra frame. The Tribe scored their 8 runs on 13 hits and made no errors while the Lions managed 2 runs on 6 hits and also committed no errors.
Elliot Gerritson led the offensive attack with 3 hits and 3 RBI, Emery Ivers had 2 hits and 2 RBI, Lane Jackson, Adam Wytiaz and Hunter Gray had 2 hits each and Liam Morey had 2 RBI.
The win moves Lawrenceville to 2-5 on the season. They are idle till Friday when they host North Clay at Unit 20 Ballpark.
