Vickory Grace Dugan, 77, of Rochester

Vickory Grace Dugan, 77, of Rochester, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday evening, August 23.

On March 27, 1949 in Winamac, Vicky was born to Lowell and Sharon (Nice) Graham. She spent her childhood years growing up with her two brothers. Proudly, Vicky graduated with the Class of 1967 from Aubbeenaubbee Twp. High School, Leiters Ford. She continued her studies and earned her associate degree from Ivy Tech Community College, Kokomo.

On January 25, 1986, Vicky was joined in marriage to Russell DeWayne Dugan at her parent’s home in Rochester. Their family tree grew to include four children, including grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Vicky will be lovingly remembered for her dedication to raising a family and tending their home throughout the years, as well as her heartfelt commitment to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren - especially when it involved cheering from the sidelines at numerous sporting events. A woman of strong faith, Vicky was a member of Mill Creek Church of Rochester and participated in many bible studies throughout the years. Of special mention, Vicky’s life was made full in her love for her canine boxer companion, Eli.

Left to cherish the memories of Vicky are her husband, Russell; daughters Nicole Grace Schwarte (Alan) of Rochester, Jennifer Lynn Severit of Warsaw, Mariea Dugan of Roann; son Jassen Dugan (Patty) of Akron; seven grandchildren: Cody Gamble, Ashley Zellers, A.J. Schwarte, Dakota Schwarte, Shelby Mosley, Shannon Teeter, Branden Dugan; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers: Jack Graham (Judy) of Lucerne and Tim Graham (Cheryl) of Montana; sisters-in-law: Dena Lahman (Brad), Debbie Lease (Matt); brothers-in-law, Richard Dugan and Donald Dugan; and several cousins, nieces, nephews.

Preceding in death are her parents, Lowell and Sharon Graham.

A celebration of the life of Vickory Dugan will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, August 27th in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 West 18th Street, Rochester, IN. Pastor Chris Beall will officiate. Her family will receive friends on Thursday from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Graveside services will follow at the Pro Cemetery | Indian Creek Cemetery in Winamac. Memorial contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
