Steven Wayne Moore, 75, of Edinburgh

Steven Wayne Moore, 75, of Edinburgh, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2026, at his residence.

He was born July 27, 1950, in Indianapolis to Carl S. Moore and Betty (Steenbergen) Moore.

Steve attended Arsenal Technical High School.  He enlisted with the United States Marine Corps in September of 1967.  Steve honorable served his country in Vietnam earning the rank of Corporal.  He retired from Larabee Homes after many years as a dedicated and skilled custom home builder. Steve was an avid sports fan.  He enjoyed spending time outdoors and going fishing and hiking.  He also enjoyed dancing.  His favorite times were spent with family.  He especially enjoyed the vacations and family trips to the beach.  The beaches were his favorite destination so he could work on his tan.

He married Christina (Noel) Moore on May 16, 1997, and she survives.

Steve is also survived by his daughters, Angela (husband, Brad) Holzhausen, and Kristy Christian; son, Justin Moore; stepson, Jason Scott; step-daughter, Brandi (husband, Billy) Goode; grandchildren, Haley (husband, Corey) Burton, Macey Ballard, Alyssa Christian, Grayson Moore, and Brody Hayden; step-grandchildren, Hillary Martinez, Cara Scott, Kiersten Goode, Karsen (wife, Jessica) Goode, Cayden Scott, and Kiya Scott; great-grandchildren, Waylon Burton, Baron Burton, Berkley Burton, Declan Bettis, Emeryn Bettis, and Bronwyn Huber; and brother, David (wife, Laurie) Moore.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Vicky Moore.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 8, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

 Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Tony Pettit officiating.  Military rites will be conducted by our local veteran organizations.
