Sharon Lou Floor, 78, of Akron, passed away peacefully at 7:59 pm, Good Friday, April 3, 2026 in her home among loved ones.
Sharon was born on May 31, 1947 to the late Earl D. and June A. (Smith) Floor. She was a graduate of Akron High School and worked for Controls, Heckman Bindery, Peabody, and Biomet through the years, before retiring.
Sharon was a loving Aunt who has a special bond and will be deeply missed by her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed cooking for family reunions and retiree get togethers, her specialty was homemade noodles. She also enjoyed springtime garden shopping for her flower beds, garage sales and thrifting for that special trinket for her collection, music shows, movies, going out to eat, traveling, and peeps at Easter. She also liked traveling over the years and had a special love for her pets.
She is survived by her brother Michael and wife Claudette Floor of Westfield, Ind.; brother-in-laws Max Thompson Sr. of Claypool and Bennie French of North Manchester; sister-in-law Ann Floor of Akron; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Larry Floor, Deloris Thompson, Jim and E. Joan Bucher, twin sister Karen French, and niece Jody L French.
Sharon attended the Silver Creek Church of God. The family will have a private graveside service in the Silver Creek Cemetery, Silver Lake, Indiana.
The arrangements have been entrusted to Hartzler Funeral Home 305 West Rochester Street Akron, Indiana.
Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to Silver Creek Church or God or Fulton County Humane Society.
