Michael Lee Crabtree, 49, of Rockville, Indiana, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2025, at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis.
He was born December 15, 1975, in Clinton, Indiana, to the late Gerry Crabtree and Linda Taylor Jackson.
Survivors include his stepfather, Joe (JJ) Jackson of Brazil; three brothers, Gerry (Amy) Crabtree of Clinton, Bobby (Tracey) Jackson of Inman, South Carolina, and Shane (Shaylah) Crabtree of Rockville; two sisters, Jennifer (Joe) Kramer of Rockville and Jolynn (Bill) Norton of Union, South Carolina; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, and his beloved dog, Charlie Ann.
Michael was a 1993 graduate of Rockville High School and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He had a fun-loving personality and enjoyed playing pool and poker, teasing and joking with the people he loved, and spending time with his nieces and nephews, who brought him great joy.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Friday, December 5, 2025, at Gooch Funeral Home, 112 West Howard Street, Rockville, with military honors provided by the Parke County Veterans. Memorial visitation will be 4:00–5:00 p.m. prior to the service.
